Who am I ?

Hi, I'm Diane, nice to meet you.

At the moment, I'm 21 and a second-year student in aerospace engineering in ISAE Supaéro, Toulouse, France.

I'm passionate about everything about space : astronomy, space exploration, satellites, rockets ... I fell in love with space a few years ago, when I first heard about asteroid mining (which is a real thing, by the way, and something I dream about every day). I had always been attracted by space since I was a kid, but at this time, I discovered that it was really what I wanted to do. Last year, I was doing my end-of-year project in the CubeSat of Supaéro, writing some code for the on-board software. This year, I am involved in the Astronomy Club and the Space Pole, which organizes every manifestation and conference about space on campus.

I also love cooking and baking, surfing on the net, drinking tea, cats, robotics, and a few other things. I am part of the Robotics Club at Supaero, in charge of the control system. We are a team of 6 students in second year, making two robots to participate to the 2015 Eurobot Challenge (and first, the french qualification in La Ferté-Bernard). We also train a dozen of first-year students, who will take our place next year. They are making their own robots for the challenge, but with LEGO pieces (yes, it's a challenge !). I will certainly present our project on the blog and post updates of the work.

I am a feminist, which means I believe in equality between men and women, and I want to fight for the rights of both genders. It is possible that you will see some feminist posts on my blog, nothing to be offended by.

I said I love baking. It's true, and I even have a blog where I post everything I bake (and that has a nice look, you won't see the many things I've failed and that look like cake-zombies !). As my other hobbies, I play volleyball, video games, I have been horse riding since the beginning of the year, I read (a lot of science-fiction books), play theatre ...

I would say lastly that I am a technology enthusiast. I may not know eveything I would like about new technologies, but I'm always curious and excited to see what the future has for us.
